This week Tamar and Christine are diving into one of their favorite binges of quarantine - Good Trouble. A spinoff of Freeform's The Fosters, Good Trouble follows sisters Callie and Mariana as they move to LA and start their lives away from their family.

We look at the relationships Callie and Mariana get themselves involved in as well as the 'ships of all of the ensemble characters who truly make the show the gem that it is. What corner do you land in the Gael-Callie-Jamie triangle? Do you think there's a more perfect man than Isaac? Has there ever been a greater moment that Davia and Dennis singing together? We're asking all the important questions!

Plus, we share our love and appreciation for the way the show tackles some of the big questions and doesn't shy away from the hard stuff.

Inspired by Taylor Swift's newest album, Folklore, we've seen SO many Twitter threads this week taking TSwift's lyrics and putting them to GIF's of people's favorite 'ships.

Which made us think, "What song lyrics inspire us to think about OUR favorite ships?"

We're also lamenting the lack of Latinx artists being nominated for Emmys, celebrating Dustin Milligan's birthday, and talking about what it takes to be asked to leave a Starbucks.

Because Tamar and Christine love to celebrate love, they're talking about their favorite new LGBTQ+ ships and, of course, paying homage to their favorite 'old school' ships as well!

The casts and crews of our favorite shows are getting ready to return to work, after a long hiatus...

...and while it's great that we're going to get brand new episodes of television, under very controlled conditions (according to a 37 page document released by the DGA and SAG Unions,) Tamar and Christine cannot help but to ask the biggest question: is this going to change shipping?

What will television couples look like if they ditch the makeout sessions for masks? Should we expect an increase of slow-burn romances? How many longing stares and needless breakups can we take before we explode as a result of sexual frustration?

T & C also tackle the topic of whether or not shows should just add COVID to their canon, why we still want them to come back despite the restrictions, and read Top 10 lists from outside of the US!

Tamar & Christine are back, with a brand new home as a part of the Frolic Podcast Network!

Hear the formal announcement, what it means for YOU, and celebrate with us as we start the next phase of The Shipping Room!

Stick around for a discussion about how we evolve as people -- and how we evolve as 'shippers.

How have our Top 10 Lists (the STAPLE of The Shipping Room!) evolved as we, and the world around us, have changed? What did some of our listeners say about their own evolution? Listen as we break it down!

Tamar and Christine are joined by Janelle McCammack (Sipping Sisters Podcast!) to break down the Hulu/BBC adaptation of the novel Normal People by Sally Rooney!

The wait is over!

Tamar and Christine (joined by Shadia Omer of Talk Nerdy with Us!) are finally breaking down Elite Season 2 - the 'ships, the stories, the 'ships, the things that made you shake your head, and OF COURSE... the 'ships!

Where were you when you realized you were 'shipping Carla and Samuel? #Omander, guys. #Omander. Rebeka and Nano! And OF COURSE Nadia and Guzman. (And of course we're working through our feelings about Lu & Valerio!)

What are we hoping to see in Season 3? Will Christian dance on Carla's grave? What's wrong with Polo? Can Nadia and Lu survive their scandals? We're talking about all of this and more!

Don't forget - the conversation NEVER stops with us! Find us on social media @shippingroompod to keep it going! We can't wait to talk more about this incredibly special show!

Aug 30, 2019

With revivals (and reboots!) coming more and more frequently Tamar and Christine decided to talk about the pros and cons of revivals.

Some are winners (Will & Grace, Murphy Brown) while others leave fans divided (Veronica Mars, Gilmore Girls) and then there's the business of reboots - which is a whole different situation.

What does it all mean for us, as 'shippers? Do we really want to take a chance on a 'ship we love being destroyed in a revival? And do we want a revival at all if the destruction of stories and characters we love is a real possibility?

We're discussing that and more in this chat about revivals - the good, the bad, and the cash grab.

As always, find us on social media, @shippingroompod and share your thoughts! We're waiting to hear from you and continue this discussion!

Aug 6, 2019

Tamar and Christine are back at it reading YOUR Top 10 lists!

They're also bringing back their classic game - "Take a drink when they name your 'ship!"

Who'll be more love drunk by the end of the night? Will it be Tamar for Logan and Veronica or Christine for Zoe & Wade? (Hint: It's both. It's definitely both.)

We also just want to take a second to say THANK YOU for sharing these lists with us - we genuinely love reading them and seeing what a wonderfully diverse community of 'shippers listen to this podcast.

To date, we've read nearly 250 of these Top 10 lists from all over the world, and we want to keep reading them so KEEP SENDING THEM IN! Even if takes some time, we promise it's worth the wait to share your list with the world!

Find us on social media @shippingroompod and share your thoughts!
